Event Format

The Conference will follow the traditional format of a healthy mix of presentations and panel discussions, interspersed by structured audience involvement. The conference will feature Government planners, policy-makers, and regulation and enforcement bodies, who will be invited to share updates on policies, codes and standards and, most importantly, the vision for the FIFA World Cup 2022 and for the roadmap to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, and beyond; specialised refrigeration consultants; specialised refrigeration contractors; facility owners (hypermarkets, wholesalers, 3PL); and manufacturers and suppliers of refrigeration and airflow equipment.

Objectives

The 10th edition will look to build on the tremendous success and warm reception to the discussions in the earlier editions. To that effect, it will focus on twin objectives…

  • To increase the existing knowledge on transport refrigeration (body-building,O&M) and cold storage warehousing (design, construction, O&M), and
  • To suggest regulation- and enforcement-related measures (to further strengthen codes, standards and inspection processes - procedures, checklists and other documents) and changes specific to the two aspects through referencing global best practices and standards.
